instalacion y configuracion de servidor de correo zimbra centos 5.7

primero que todo  desactivamos servicios que pueden entrar en conflicto con nuestro zimbra (o tambien se pueden desinstalar)

[root@zimbra ~]# chkconfig sendmail off
[root@zimbra ~]# chkconfig ip6tables off
[root@zimbra ~]# chkconfig iptables off

Una vez el proceso de instalación termina instalamos las ultimas dependencias necesarias para

poder instalar Zimbra (sysstat es requisito para la versión 6 de zimbra, las versiones 5.X no lo necesitan)

[root@zimbra ~]# yum install libtool-ltdl sysstat

A contunuación verificamos que el nombre de la maquina este correctamente configurado, de lo contrario corregir el archivo /etc/hosts

de la siguiente manera

luego instalamos  el servidor dns para las pruebas que haremos

yum install  bind

aqui hago una aclaracio no le instalo las otras libreias de  chrootkit se lo hare para una actualizacion de este post

ahora creamos un archivo  en /etc/named.conf

luego se crea el archivo  de cabezas.zone aqui el nombre que deseen  siempre y cuando este ubicado en /var/named ya que fue la ruta que se le dio en directory

para saber si nos quedo bien damos un

hostname  -f  o solamente hostname :

ahora hacemos  una consulta para ver si nuestro dns esta bien

para una mejor instalacion editamos e larciho de/etc/

resolv.conf de la siguiente manera

[root@zimbra ~]# dig ubiquando.com.co MX

nos dirigimos  a /etc/sysconfig/network

y  agregamos nuestro  nombre de  host donde dice hostname tal cual como se lo colocamos en el archivo de hosts

luego descargamos nuestro zimbra de la pagina oficial  http://files2.zimbra.com/downloads/7.1.4_GA/zcs-7.1.4_GA_2555.RHEL5.20120105094627.tgz

o http://www.zimbra.com/downloads/os-downloads.html

luego nos vamos al direcvorio donde la descargamos y le damos tar xzvf  zcs-7.1.4_GA_2555.RHEL5.20120105094627.tgz

luego entramos a la carpeta que se nos da luego de la descompresion con cd

y ejecutamos el siguiente comando

sh install.sh  –platform-override

y si queremos desinstalar solamente a gregamos -u

sh install.sh  -u –platform-override

Y con esto finaliza la instalación y se puede entrar a la herramienta via Browser:

  •  https://ip.del.servidor:7071   —> Interfase Administrativa (El usuario administrador que se crea por default es admin y el password es el que se haya indicado en el proceso de instalación, en el este ejemplo es 123456)
  •  http://ip.del.servidor             —> Interfase webmail
